See the Good! launches partnership at P.S. 121 Throop NYC
New York, NY – January 5, 2026
See the Good!, a research-based social-emotional learning (SEL) and positive education program, has launched its first partnership with a public school district in New York City, collaborating with P.S. 121 Throop to bring a whole-school approach to fostering positivity, resilience, and social-emotional growth for both students and teachers.
The initiative began on the first day back from the winter break with professional development for all teachers. Educators were introduced to the science and methods behind See the Good!, learning how to integrate evidence-based strategies into everyday classroom practices. Teachers received hands-on resources, including activity cards, books, and classroom posters, allowing them to implement the program immediately.
See the Good! supports both students and teachers by helping educators identify and build on their core strengths. Designed to be practical and easy to use, the program strengthens classroom culture and SEL without adding extra workload or contributing to teacher burnout.
P.S. 121 Throop also launched See the Good!’s platform, equipping teachers with tools to reinforce positive behavior, monitor student growth, and cultivate a strengths-based school environment that promotes well-being, kindness, and strong teacher-student relationships.
“This partnership is a meaningful step forward in bringing strengths-based education to public schools in New York City,” said Dr. Kaisa Vuorinen, CEO and Founder of See the Good!. “By equipping teachers with practical tools, a scientifically grounded framework, and insights into their own strengths, we’re helping create classrooms where every student can thrive - and teachers can thrive too, without extra paperwork or overwork.”
“Our teachers are excited to implement these methods, and we anticipate that students will experience a stronger sense of belonging, self-confidence, and positivity across classrooms,”, Principal of P.S. 121 Throop.
As U.S. schools increasingly recognize the importance of social-emotional learning, See the Good! aims to expand its work in public school districts, offering scalable, evidence-based tools that support educators and students alike. The P.S. 121 Throop partnership represents a milestone in See the Good!’s mission: to cultivate positivity, resilience, and strengths in schools and communities, empowering the next generation to thrive academically, emotionally, and professionally.
